For the first time in years, the Oklahoma City Thunder navigated the NBA world without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He's missed at least five games with an abdominal strain before the All-Star break. We'll see how he is afterward, but you gotta hope he returns sooner than later.

The Thunder went 2-3 in that stretch. Not bad, all things considered. Jalen Williams' two-game return helped with that before he re-aggravated another hamstring strain. Think it's obvious to say the reigning NBA champions need the reigning MVP to return.

So, what exactly is an abdominal strain? If you follow sports long enough, you have a rough idea. But Thunder Wire went the distance to get a medical expert's knowledge on the injury. After all, it's important to have a basis for the injury as OKC's title hopes depend on Gilgeous-Alexander:

President Donald Trump on Thursday granted pardons to former players — Joe Klecko, Nate Newton, Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry — and the late Billy Cannon.

The group includes a Pro Football Hall of Famer, multiple All-Pros and Pro Bowlers, and a Heisman Trophy winner — all previously convicted in federal cases spanning perjury, drug trafficking, and counterfeiting.

Ivica Zubac had nothing but good vibes to share about his short stint with LeBron James.

Even though they only played a few games together, the Croatian center was impressed by how much LeBron actually cared about his teammates.

“Honestly, the way he treated us and me was great,” Zubac said.

He remembered his first day back in LA after some international qualifiers: “I get to the gym early, and he’s already there, pumping iron. He sees me, yells ‘Zuuu!’ comes over, hugs me, asks ‘How were qualifiers?’ He watched everything. That left an impression; he actually cared. It stayed that way.”

Even with just five games together before LeBron got hurt, Zubac loved the experience: “Those five games with him. Amazing. You can imagine how easy it is.”

Short time or not, playing alongside LeBron left a mark, and Zubac is all about that positivity.
