We are always looking for ways to improve around here, and we truly hope this latest improvement is a great help to you all!

As we’ve added more and more vendors and products our price list has grown to an overwhelming point. We hope that adding price tags to each product individually helps make your shopping experience that much easier.

People often ask us why we keep sheep, and honestly, if this video doesn’t answer that question then I’m not sure how else to explain it.

The peace that they bring to our farm is unexplainable. It brings us such joy to see them at peace like this, and that peace and joy becomes contagious. They teach us, day in and day out, what David was conveying in Psalm 23; When they lie down in peace it’s because their shepherds have given them all that they need. They can rest knowing that they have no wants.

“He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

We finished haying our first field and the sheep are quite pleased with the finished product! So much so that they immediately abandoned the dry first cut swill we’ve been serving them the moment they got a whiff of this good stuff!

We borrowed this hay ring from a friend and we were hopeful that it would help contain the loose hay. What we didn’t consider was that the sheep would just climb right in and make themselves at home. 😆😆

PS, serving them the dry first cut swill hasn’t been by choice. We didn’t have the storage space last summer to stock up on the good hay for winter, so we’ve been forced to buy whatever bales people have left. 🤌🏼

I’m pretty sure this is what Jesus meant when He said “that your joy may be full.” These sheep bring such peace and joy to our small farm that it becomes easy to overlook all the frustrations that farming brings. Every day has its struggles, and we take them one day at a time as commanded in scripture, and every day also has countless blessings. Which aspect of the day we focus on determines our joy. Choose wisely.

Just a lamb dreamin’ about milk. 🥛🐑

This sweet little Katahdin lamb, Hoodsie, was born one week ago on our farm! Her favorite things to do are to nap in the sun and chug milk.
Same Hoodsie girl, same. 😆

In this video Hoodsie, or Hoods for short, is fast asleep in front of our loose mineral buffet. Her little lip curl is the best thing ever.
