When traveling abroad the first thing our family likes to do is go to the local grocery store in whatever country we have arrived in. It seems a little strange but it's always such a cool experience to see how everyday people are really eating in the country you're visiting. That's essentially one of the main inspirations for how Olive Oil of the World was born and how we were able to fill a 2000 square foot store with so many different unique international gourmet foods along with our selection of the world's finest award-winning estate grown extra virgin olive oils. It took 46 years of travelling the world to put together and source our artisanal collection of exclusive extra virgin olive oils, come in and taste the world!

Sometimes there's nothing better than some jerk chicken and Florida sweet corn on the grill. For this one we used three different spice blends from one of our favorite vendors at the City of West Palm Beach GreenMarket , Luv’s Kitchen Seasoning! For the jerk chicken leg quarters we mixed together the island and jerk seasoning. For the chicken breasts we mixed together the house and the island seasoning for my little one that still finds jerk chicken to be a little bit too spicy. Luckily your taste buds change and grow every 7 years and I'm sure one day that will not be a problem. Of course you know everything was marinated with Olive Oil of the World .
So if you're as big a fan as we are of spices when the market ends this week for the summer you know where to stock up in Palm Beach county!

We had a very special visitor in the store! Brendan from stopped by the shop to get us stocked up with Palm Beach's first ever essential electrolyte rich hydration water made with palmbeachsalt. With just the right balance of minerals this water is the perfect thing for people who need to refuel after an intense workout or just a hot day at the beach. I use Palm Beach Salt to make my own version of a hydration beverage after the gym without all of those toxic chemicals in sports drinks. Now with Palm Beach Water it's even easier. I just mix a little local honey and florida lemon juice with a can of this delicious water and boom, instant sports drink made with local natural ingredients that hydrates me so much better than that toxic garbage made by soft drink companies.

One of my favorite variations on a classic. Traditionally pesto is made with 6 ingredients, evoo, garlic, cheese, nuts,salt and basil. This is not that. This is an arugula pesto and to be honest with you I don't even know if we can technically call it that because a pesto without nuts is a "pistou" from Provence in the south of France which was technically part of Italy at one point. However a pistou does not contain cheese. The "pesto" seen here was tossed with gnocchi for last night's dinner and is made with parmigiano cheese, evoo, fresh garlic, palmbeachsalt and of course arugula from Kai-Kai Farm. Just put all 5 ingredients in a blender on high for one minute and you will have an amazing fresh green sauce that lasts for a really long time in the fridge, is packed with lots of nutrients and a bunch of flavor!

Pro tip: When you're done eating your pasta nothing soaks up that extra pesto and delicious green evoo on the plate better than a piece of crusty toasty Bread by Johnny.

With Mom hanging out with her best friend in New York City this weekend I only had one mom to cook for this holiday, my wife. She had a very unique request for her Mother's Day dinner. She told me that she wanted me to recreate her favorite menu items from one of Korea's most famous exports to America, Bonchon Korean fried chicken. So I made her Korean barbecue wings, loaded bulgogi fries and fried rice. Everything cooked with Olive Oil of the World extra virgin olive oil (yes even the fried chicken)every sauce made from scratch every potato cut by hand. The whole process took me about 4 hours, totally worth it.
