Spelt Flour from Azure.

Friday Flour Feature! Spelt flour is recognized for its ease in baking with results that are similar to using whole wheat flour. While this is not an appropriate choice for those maintaining a gluten-free diet, our Organic Spelt Flour (Unifine) is low in gluten and suitable for some people who are intolerant to wheat. It is an excellent substitute for wheat flour, and imparts a delightful flavor and consistency to breads.

Spelt flour is a whole grain flour. The flour is sifted through a large screen, which removes only some of the large bran flakes. If a sifted flour is desired, it is recommended to repeat this at home.

Our Organic Spelt Flour (Unifine) is milled using our Unifine mill. The Unifine milling process results in a nutritionally superior flour with a texture that makes it a dream for baking. If all you’ve ever baked with is store-bought, all-purpose flour, you’ll be amazed by the difference in flavor and consistency of our Unifine flours.
