I apologize for my recent absence and inconsistent posting schedule. Unfortunately, the end of the school year and associated activities have been quite demanding and have put me behind.

As a token of appreciation, I would like to gift one lucky individual with four off-heat chicks. Although they initially exhibited characteristics typical of hens, their development has also displayed some ambiguity regarding their s*x. Consequently, I cannot guarantee that all four chicks will mature into hens, so please keep that in mind.

Tomorrow, I will be posting some baby silkies & satins that will be 👀 for a new 🏡.

These babies hatched out within the past 2 days, all are healthy and doing great! Mostly black in color, UNSEXED (you can’t s*x silkies until they either start crowing or lay an egg) straight run.

Our broody hen has 25 babies currently with her & I just feel that’s a bit excessive for her even though she’s doing an AMAZING job with them all!

We had a silkie that went broody, she was sitting on 10 eggs, only 5 of them hatched off. We had bantams in the incubator and they hatched off the same day her eggs did. We sat the babies under her, and by the grace of the lord, she took them & is doing so good with all her babies! 🫶🏼

Having a hen that will take random babies without hesitation really shows a good hen.
