Counting down the days til spring!!! 🌱🌼🌞 Not much happening, and seems like the coldest winter we’ve had in a long time. Main focus has been keeping birdies warm and waters de-iced!

The only ones who still want to be outside are the ducks 😂🦆🥶 please enjoy their happy quacks in the frozen tundra that is Michigan! 🤣🥰

Nah, I still wouldn’t trade them for anything!! 🥰💕 Most the feather babies are hiding in dry shelters, but my frizzly boy Cotton is exploring the snow today!

This gorgeous girl was homeless and wandering just 2 months ago! On Sept 15th, I saw a post that she was roaming a neighborhood in Lansing 🤯 Likely dumped in the nearby park, by someone who didn’t want chickens anymore. It happens. They asked if anyone could come take her.

So I did! She was in poor condition, very skinny, missing a lot of feathers, but a super sweet girl. 2 months of food, shelter and love got her in shape!

I love animals, and want to rescue every single one 😢 unfortunately, numerous cats and dogs create a hoarding situation 😂😭 BUT, there’s always room in my coops for “just one more” hen!! 🤣🥰💕
