🌲🍓Rim Country Charm & Old Settlers Village 🌲🍓

If you haven’t been to Rim Country Charm, shame on you. If it’s been awhile come back and see the expansion!
🌲
Located in OLD SETTLERS VILLAGE and nestled among six other fantastic shops, OSV is a Pine-Strawberry destination with variety and small town hospitality.
The grounds hearken back to days of yore when Pine was settled in the 1870s. Antique wagons, mature cigar, walnut and apple trees offer shade while parents rest and kiddos play the yard games supplied by the merchants. Most parents take turns outside with the littles while the other shops leisurely.
🌲🍓
Rim Country Charm is one of the shops, located at the north end of the property. Saunter in and take your time as practically every nook has something to see and every cranny inspires a trip down memory lane. Rim Country Charm offers vintage and antique collectibles as well as fashion forward clothing and jewelry, home decor, inspiring upcycled and repurposing ideas, locally made souvenirs, man cave/she shed decor, greeting cards and gifts and the cutest shop dog in town, The Infamous Miss Harper!
🍓
Rim Country Charm and Renewed Threads are open Thursday through Sunday, while the others are open Friday through Sunday.
🌲🍓
As we’ve seen this property evolve a lot in 5 years, the current version is here to stay! The shopkeepers vibe well and offer variety to the community, never departing from hospitable service and a relaxed shopping experience. All shop owners are local residents and friends!

WALNUTS!
🌰Bring a bag and help yourself. The walnut tree is dropping plenty for you.

🌰Walnuts are a nutrient-dense food packed with plant-based omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and essential minerals. Eating about one ounce (14 halves) per day supports heart health, brain function, and gut bacteria.

🌰Gather the fallen nuts promptly from the ground, remove the outer hulls, wash the shells, and dry them in a single layer for a few weeks before storage.
Gathering and PreparationTiming: Wait until hulls split or show a slight give when pressed. Do not wait until husks turn completely black on the tree, as the meat can mold or taint.
Collection: Pick nuts off the ground or shake lower branches. Collect them daily so pests and moisture do not ruin the crop.
Protection: Wear heavy rubber or nitrile gloves. Walnut hulls contain juices that permanently stain skin and clothes
