It's that time of year where blooms are fading, it's hot outside and it's time to reset and prepare for a fall garden. Before doing that, take inventory of what bloomed, collect the fading blooms, put them in a paper bag and label the bag (trust me, you won't remember what is there in a few months). Cut down perennials that are done, pull out annuals that have withered and put down fresh cedar mulch to keep soil moist and weeds down. Then you're ready when things cool off and we get some rain, to put in some cool weather crops/flowers.
Make sure the seeds heads are completely dry and this winter, turn on a great classic movie and open the bags, remember the blooms and save the seeds for your spring planting.

This is a product I have formulated over the past 5-6 years and currently have for sale $6 per 4 oz bottle. I was honored to receive such a wonderful review from someone I respect highly.

I’ve used them all. I’ve made my own.
No one likes bugs.
Especially when it’s tick and chigger season.
But I love the outdoors as much as I need to breathe.
So I was shocked when I tried Mechel’s bug spray being outdoors for a week at camp and first noticed I had no mosquito bites when I used it.
I’m a skeptic so I used my other a stuff I brought because it was handy and I got some bites so I tried hers to smooth the ones I got. It worked!
I’ve used essential oils and natural remedies for over 25 years regularly.
I hike on and off trail all year, I’m in some pretty wild places.
I even hiked on some hunting land that hadn’t been disturbed in years in my chacos. (open toed sandals) in thick leaves, trees, brush, places I know ticks and chiggers hang out. I sprayed before during and after the excursion.
Not one single tick, chigger or mosiquito bite!
In august! In Arkansas!

I don’t back peoples stuff unless it deserves it.

I’m teaching classes outdoors so I bought more.

In my studies today for my Naturopath degree I learned that red light with a wavelength of 630 nanometers delivered from an argon-pumped laser directed at cancer cells will cause them to die within hours of treatment. The cells are identified by a photosensitive chemical called DHE or Photofrin and "light up" under the red laser light so treatment is very precise. Treatments have shown to be highly effective, after one single application. Photodynamic treatments are the future. Non-laser red light is also being used to treat many issues and I'm thrilled to share that we will be offering red-light therapies in our center.
