Meet “Wednesday” and “Phoenix”!🖤

So far these are the only 2 out of 10 babies to hatch- but that’s okay! Ayam Cemani are prone to lower hatch rates due to being high-fibro birds.

My hope, is that Wednesday and Phoenix are not the same s*x. My secondary hope, is that I can find more Cemani eggs soon and get these babies some friends! 🖤

Very proud “Chicken Mom” moment. This little baby pipped around 11 am this morning. Just before going to bed for the night, as I always do, I checked on all my eggs and to my surprise- this little baby was in its final stages of its hatching! I got to watch my very first Ayam Cemani baby hatch! 🖤

I was starting to lose hope with these eggs, as there were no pips until 11am this morning (day 22). I know that day 21 is just an average, but I’m also a person that hopes for the best and expects the absolute worst. Anyone who knows me, KNOWS I have been wayyy too excited about these eggs.
