Junior Bucks:

Our beautiful boy Swisher Hill’s WD Uzumati walked away ✨GRAND CHAMPION✨Junior buck and RESERVE CHAMPION buck out of 25. He made it happen at only 3 months old. 🥹

If you can see my face in the first picture I’m grinning ear to ear with tears rolling down my face 😂 So incredibly amazing. Thank you, Don for the picture!

Congratulations to everyone on their successes at the show! Special congratulations going out to Swisher Hill Farm - Nigerian Dwarf Goats on getting Grand Champion and BEST udder on one of my favorite does Swisher Hill’s ATL Sgaeyl! She is the dam to our exciting new buck Swisher Hill’s DH Zavier. She is one leg away from being a finished champion!

Congratulations Wisteria Way - Nigerian Dwarf Goats on finishing her doe Winning Streak R Zenyatta! 🥳 you did it! And Second Eden Farm for their grand champion junior doe!

I couldn’t have gotten here without a little help…

To Andrea: Thank you for the *horse trainer energy* bootcamp on how to properly show goats this weekend, bringing me a milk stand, buying me Advil, letting me in your sous vide, housing my dinner leftovers… helping me show my goats to their fullest potential 🩷 and for the AMAZING pictures you take!!! You are the MVP. 🙌🏼 you are the MVP… you are the MVP. 🙌🏼👑

To Alyssa: thank you for yelling at me when I’m doing something wrong in the ring. 😂💕

To my grandparents: thank you for watching my human little so I could sneak away for a weekend. You are so appreciated. 🥺

To the judges: thank you for giving me the 1 on 1 time so I could learn more!

To those running this show: it was awesome! You guys did so awesome and I felt spoiled all weekend with food and ice cream! loved every part of it all. 🩷

To end this post…. We’re heading to NATIONALS to support our friends and be the goat show mom I know I’m meant to be! Clippers and brushes ready.

Is this how you do it?? 😅🤩

We were at a goat show down in Logansport, IN. Our second show ever and grateful for the experience. It was a very well run show and look forward to coming back next year! So many people to thank to make this weekend happen, and will follow up with an official update soon.

But for now…..

First official dashboard picture! 💕

So comfortable at her first show, she can chew cud through it. 🥹

Serenity Farm L Marah was one of the first does I ever purchased to start a registered herd and make the switch to a performance herd. She had a long neck, i liked the udders.. and she carried herself with so much grace (plus…. Black 🖤)

She was a late bloomer, being smaller we waited on her and freshened her as a 2yr old. Once she freshened… she really seemed to come together! And afterall the wait was worth it. 🥹

We have this girl and a couple others planned for AI this fall for variety to a buck that will bring strength (width) throughout but not taking away from her attributes. If AI doesnt take, I know a few bucklings that are sure to produce similar outcomes. 💕

It’s been a full circle year for us. Looking back on how far we’ve come, only makes me more excited, and we couldn’t have gotten here without a little help from friends. (You know) ☺️

Looking forward to heading to our next show this weekend!

* Our first show *

We went to our first goat show 2 weekends ago and was honestly star struck seeing the many beautiful goats at the Cass county dairy goat show. Maybe so mesmerized that we missed our first class completely, but seriously so many pretty goats!

Our girls really made us proud! Our highlight of the day was our third place finish on our moonspotted gal, Serenity Farms L Natalia. 🥉 I cried having no expectations of the day.

Thank you to my fiance Kyle for being there for us and ready to show our girls better side! He was Natalia’s handler and like most things he does, they turn to gold. 💛

We learned a lot from going and also learned how set up and prepare better next time. Everyone was so nice and made us feel at home. We are looking forward to the next show.

Thank you to the amazing photographer!! I will always treasure these.

Have you ever seen… a goat wearing a coat? ✨

Since shaving our goats for the show, (and living in Michigan) blankets were a must. 😅 with good weather on the horizon we shouldn’t need them much longer. It does take me back to the days my horses would wear several blankets at a time.

I’m taking them off daily to make sure every doe is comfy and looking forward to warmer weather this week!

Have a great sunny day! 💕
