Thinking about entering our Apple Pie Contest but feeling a little intimidated? Don’t be! It’s all in good fun, and many first-time contestants have even taken home top prizes!
This week we’re sharing inspiration straight from past Apple Pie Contest winners! From family traditions to baking tips, here’s what they had to say about their experiences:
“Be bold and enter! It’s so much fun to bake and share it with your friends and community. Pro tip: do a trial run the week prior. You’ll work out any kinks and it is fun sharing pie with friends along the way!”
🥇 Julie — 2025 First Place, Traditional Two-Crust Pie
“I signed up right before the deadline with much encouragement from my husband. Friends and family have always told me that my crisps were excellent, but to be evaluated by professionals was really a special moment. I never thought I would win with so many participants; I even wore sweatpants to the judging because I was so confident that I wouldn’t place. If you’re unsure if you want to participate, I highly encourage you to enter- and make sure to dress like a winner that day because you never know! ”
🥇 Lauren — 2025 Second Place, Apple Crisp
Enter for a chance to win one of nine AMAZING prize bags filled with goodies donated by our incredible Market vendors.
Last year’s bags were so heavy that winners could barely carry them to their cars. Just saying! 🥧🏆
