Looking forward to grabbing some lavender 😍

I'll have a few homegrown lavender bundles with me this week at the Portland Farmers and Artisans Market 🪻

This is Sensational, a French lavender variety, and has been harvested from our little lavender garden and dried indoors over the last few weeks.

Each lavender bundle comes with a reusable satchel - cut or strip the lavender buds from the stems and put them into the satchel for a natural closet or drawer freshener. The smell is incredible, but I can promise you the taste is not ☠️ French lavender is not suitable for culinary use because it's so potent, so please put it in the bag and not your mouth 🤣

Join us THIS FRIDAY at the Portland Farmers & Artisans Market!

Summer may be winding down and back-to-school season is officially in gear, but there’s still time for some Friday afternoon fun!

We’re excited to welcome Dan Wood Yacht Rock for live music! Dan plays Yacht Rock and Classic Rock favorites, mostly from the ’70s and ’80s. He grew up in East Hampton and now spends much of the year in Southern California. Come grab a spot, shop the market, and enjoy some great music!

And since it’s back-to-school time, stop by the Welcome Booth and Avonlea Farm’s table to guess how many pencil erasers are in the jar to win ten market bucks!

Come shop local, support our amazing farmers and artisans, listen to some music, and say hi!

It's Farmers Market Day!

Join us today from 3:00–6:00 PM at Veterans Park behind Portland Town Hall for an afternoon of local shopping, live music, and community fun.

In addition to all of our usual local farmers,
artisans, makers, and food vendors, we're excited to host our special Kids Market, where six young entrepreneurs will be selling handmade jewelry, paintings, painted pottery, crocheted items, nail sets, and other creative handmade items.

Pack a picnic dinner, bring a blanket, enjoy the music by Great Hill Mountain Band, and spend the afternoon supporting local businesses and our youngest entrepreneurs.

We can't wait to see you there!
