The bees are filling up their sacks with sunflower nectar. These late producing flowers are so valuable to our bees. My front yard is full of honey bees and it fills my heart

The various boiling stages of maple syrup. The boil starts flat with progression to smaller bubbles followed by a fluff of small frothy bubbles and you’re at 219 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is the product of 18 gallons, filtered three times. The flavor is amazing. Boiling this same amount tomorrow.

Tapping trees is a beautiful process and a gift from nature. Rolling Oaks continues to be a gift that fills my heart.

40 gallons collected and will be boiling down this weekend. Perfect sap weather; night time lows below freezing and day time highs in the 40’s.
