Refilling plastic? 🤔 YES! We get asked on a weekly bases if it’s okay to bring in plastic containers to refill- and our answer is ABSOLUTELY. Please don’t think that in order to shop you need a pretty jar…just use what you have- because that’s the whole point: reuse + refill!
You can fill anything as long as it’s clean, dry, and has a sealable lid. 🤗

Drumroll please 🥁 here’s our top 5 refills for April:
•1,728 ounces of laundry detergent (around 13.5 gallon jugs)
•767 ounces of olive oil (about 45 average-sized oil bottles)
•405 ounces of fruity bears (equivalent to 115 gummy bear packages)
•341 ounces of dish soap (about the same as 21 bottles)
•339 ounces of honey (also around 21 bottles)

By refilling and not buying these products at regular grocery stores (where they come in single-use/usually plastic containers), you saved about 215 containers from being tossed. GO YOU 👏🏼

And that’s a wrap for April!! We didn’t double our numbers from March (that goal might have been a little ambitious 😅) but it’s still so cool to see 817 bottles came back to be refilled with 11,679 ounces of product! I’ll be making a post later highlighting our top 5 refilled products last month, if you’re interested to see what everyone’s into lately 😉
