Vincent’s choice sunnies 😍 They are the most beautiful variety I’ve ever grown and my favorite flower to pick on these warm summer mornings.

Every day I have another bucket full opening up. They’re in the cooler and waiting for the cart to be / on Saturday from 4-10pm along with a long list of other summer blooms.

Do you prefer straight bunches of sunflowers? Or mixed bouquets?

I’ll be at the today! (Friday the 14th) from 4-8pm at the with more bouquets and lavender from (a new grower in Idaho Falls).

Again, her master floristry and WIDE variety of flowers she’s growing makes every bouquet she brought me unique and absolutely stunning. I could look at them all day because every single one of them is different. It’s not your run of the mill 5 stems of this and 3 stems of that bouquet recipes. Come see and SMELL these in person! 😄

I’ll update my stories with some of my favorites as I wrap them 🥰 see you tonight at the fairgrounds!

Here’s some texture from one of my CSA subscribers’ bouquets last August.
• dahlia
• cosmo
• statice
• hydrangea
• asters
• ornamental grass
Because my growing space is so small, I try to stick to one color pallet so that everything I grow can be used together. That means every bouquet will have a lot of texture and be cohesive with a lot less waste.

My favorite colors to grow are blush, peach, white, and yellow. Each color has a lot of variety within its sphere and always looks romantic and whimsical, perfect for creating a calming atmosphere in your home and great for brides who want to DIY their wedding florals.

Do you have plans for a garden this year? If you don’t have land/time for a garden but still want flowers, I can grow them for you!

The final round for CSA sign ups will be the week before Valentine’s Day (FEB. 7-14). See my 2023 CSA highlight bubble for more details!

Featured here is Dahlia Rose Toscano from my 2021 garden. I didn’t have any bloom in my 2022 garden, but my dahlias were so late some didn’t bloom at all before the frost got them!

I have a whole bin of mystery tubers to plant the season, and I hope that she makes an appearance in 2023!

Those of you students/Rexburgians who are engaged or are about to be engaged: I do DIY buckets of flowers for weddings!

I LOVE WEDDINGS, but unfortunately, at this stage in my life I don’t have the bandwidth to be a full service florist on your big day.

DIY buckets are a win for all of us. I can design the bridal bouquet (if you prefer) and give you buckets in your specified color pallet to make centerpieces, arches etc.

Buckets save me a lot of time, and therefore, save you a lot of money because you don’t get charged a design fee (outside of the bridal bouquet).

Hiring a florist would obviously be a dream for most people. They charge design fees because their skills are acquired and WORTH every penny. But sometimes that extra money just isn’t in the budget. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you’re getting married between May and mid September, and have a friend or family member who is interested in floristry that can help you out with putting stems in vases, making corsages etc, send me a message with inspiration photos for your day and I can get you a quote.

YouTube is full of tutorials on how to make boutonnières, corsages, arches, centerpieces and more. Watch a few and see if it’s something you would be comfortable with.

Every flower you receive would be grown by me (with the odds and ends being sourced from other SE Idaho growers). They’ll likely be picked only a day or two before your wedding so you know they’ll be perky and long lasting.

If you do decide to go with a traditional florist, message me for recommendations. I know almost every florist in SE Idaho and can give you tips on who could serve you best.

took this beautiful photo. (Check out her account for your wedding photography needs. She does great work!)

2022-2023 winter:
Took a long long break 👌🏻
🌸Planning next year’s flower garden (with new season extension techniques)
🏡 Planning our future floor plan (we hope to build in the next 5 years)
🦆 Planning our future homestead/permaculture garden (complete with flowers/veg, fruit trees, ducks, and maybe a cow or two)
💐trying to focus on improving the locally grown SE Idaho floral wholesale floor
🌱Trying to remember to order seeds while soaking in my kids’ littleness and setting effective routines that will serve our family culture 🙃

So much of winter is reading and learning and prepping. What of these would you like to hear more about? Comment below or hop over to my stories to vote!

Do you have any big plans for spring and summer that take a winter full of dreaming?

P.S. Completely unrelated to flowers; I’m trying to gather 5 more women to join me in a competitive basketball league the winter/early spring in Rigby. If you know anybody who may be interested please send them my way!

If you need free gifts for your family, or need to declutter for the upcoming holidays, I’m currently gathering donations for this free toy event!

I want to be able to accommodate as many families as possible, so if you have a few things that your kids have outgrown/don’t use, be it toys, art supplies, books etc, I would be so pleased to take it off your hands. Please DM me to arrange pick up/drop offs for that!

🎁The event will be at the Madison County Fair Grounds Arts and Crafts building (tan un-domed building out front)
🎁 street parking only please
🎁bring your own bag to bring toys home in
🎁 children are welcome BUT the toys will be in plain view. We will have a story time corner with Mrs. Rexburg to help keep kids distracted who need to be with their parents during this time, but we will not be able to look after them or keep them contained.
🎁 If you have toys to swap, you may (DM me this week to arrange a pickup/drop off OR) bring them by between 12-2pm while we’re setting up. We can’t let you “shop” around during set up though sorry!
🎁 If you’re donating, THANK YOU! *And please run soft items through the wash before donating.* Thank you!
🎁 Any questions? Leave them in the comments!

The date and time and place have been set for the free pre-owned toy event!

This event is meant to help anybody who is feeling stretched for cash during this holiday season but still want to provide a traditional gift filled holiday for their families.

The focus is primarily toys, but there will be an assortment of items there for all ages.

If you feel inclined to de clutter before Christmas, please donate those items to this event so they can go to your Rexburg neighbors for free.

If you want contribute toys AND claim them, you may donate anytime this week (this is preferred, just message me for a drop off address) or you can bring them to swap while we’re setting the event up from 12-2pm. Not everything will be out yet, but it will give us a chance to organize the toys you’re bringing with the rest of the donations, and you can stay until the event officially opens at 2.

Please share about this event in your stories! I would love the people who need this event to know about it, and I would love to have enough inventory to help as many people as possible.

Thank for your help and contributions! If you’d like to help by donating your time to run the event with me, please let me know in a DM or a comment so I can put together a volunteer schedule. Thank you!!!

*Free Toys in Rexburg?*

I’ve been toying with the idea of setting up a free toy day in Rexburg for families who could use a bit of extra help this holiday season.

I was decluttering my own kids’ toys and realized I wanted them to go to somebody who could use them, but didn’t want to deal with pick ups and drop offs for every little thing.

What if we brought together all of our unwanted toys and let ANYBODY who would benefit from free used toys have a go at them? Then at the end anything left over could be donated?

Here’s what I would need to make this happen:
1. A venue - it would need to be big enough to hold at least 20-30 people at a time and have ample parking. Do you know anybody with a large shop we could set tables up in? Are you, or do you know, a venue owner who would like to donate their space to support this cause? The library is a no-go; I’m waiting to hear back from the city about The Zone (Kidsburg).
2. Toys - I would love to make this a large event with plenty of offerings, especially stocking stuffer sized toys that many of us are tempted to just throw away when we’re decluttering. Stockings can get expensive, and I feel like they are one of the higher ranked stressors of the holiday season.
3. Any willing bodies to help run the event for even 1 hour. Setting up/organizing toys, maybe helping distract kids while their parents pick out toys for them (story time corner?), taking excess toys to a thrift store when the event is over etc.
4. Publicity- Would you please share this post to your stories and ask if your local friends can help fill any of these needs? (They can go to my stories and make a noncommittal vote for how they’d most likely be willing to participate.) If I’m going to make this happen I’m going to need your help spreading the word.

What do you think? Is there anything I’m missing here? Do you have additional ideas? Please go to my stories and vote for how you would most likely participate! Thanks flower friends!
