Once upon a time… We accidentally bought 5 animals and started Critter Creek Farm Co. 😂

A few years ago, we drove out to LOOK at 3 alpacas, while visiting family in NC.

When we got there, the very first animal I saw was a mini Highland bull, staring right at me from across the gate. Before we even left the farm, I was already pretty convinced that I needed him.

The seller had everything. Alpacas. Highland cattle. Donkey. Camel. Zebra. Watusi. You name it.

So naturally, we bought the 3 alpacas.

And Norman.

And a donkey.

Small problem: We hadn’t driven our truck to NC.

Even smaller problem: We didn’t own a livestock trailer.

Rental car companies generally frown upon towing livestock. 😂

So the next day, we rented a U-Haul, bought a trailer off Facebook Marketplace, and went back for our new farm family.

What started as “let’s look at a few alpacas” very quickly turned into the beginning of Critter Creek Farm Co.

And we’d do it all over again. ❤️

We did a thing. 🤠

Our first Critter Creek Farm Co. hats officially arrived today, and we couldn’t be more excited.

After months of dreaming, planning, building, and figuring things out as we go, it’s pretty incredible to hold something with our farm’s name on it.

We chose Richardson 112s with an embroidered logo and colors that felt right at home here on the farm.

Thank you to everyone who’s followed along, supported us, visited the farm, purchased from the farm stand, stayed with us through Harvest Hosts, or simply cheered us on. We’re grateful for every bit of it.
