Renzo’s Ranch Renzo’s Ranch is my personal homestead where I’ll be breeding and raising dual purpose chickens mostly for meat and egg consumption.

I may also explore other breeds for egg colors.

The new Queen is doing great. Hard at work and the colony is thriving. This wasn’t the best year to get into beekeeping because the cold snap pretty much altered the blooming season, but in the end they are figuring it out and God doesn’t fail them.

Stoked on how my lilies are growing in my pond. I did put some fish in there, but there were small and not sure how many have survived of the 12. I’ve only seen one so far.

The girls are busy. It’s been a few days over a month now and they are looking good. I have a hive inspection coming up in the next few days. Just waiting for the wind factor to settle down. It’s been super windy. Hopefully tomorrow or Friday, I can get into the hives and see there progress. Last hive inspection I added Supers (another box for honey), so now the hives will you see have 2 boxes instead of one. I’ll post the inspection once it’s done. Let’s goooo bees 🐝.

Hey everyone, today is inspection day. I’ll be going live around noon, so make sure you join me. We will be looking at the frames for newly laid eggs, larvae in different stages, pests in the hive and deciding if it’s time to add a honey super. Stay tuned.

This guy here is our boy Rusty, he is very protective of his girls and struts like he is kind around these parts, obviously he doesn’t know that I am the king, 😂. Anyways he has also fathered our last brood which I’ll be posting an update videos of them. There are 3 male chicks and one of them will supersede Rusty and be the new King of the yard. Blessings to all.
