Please stop by the pop up market for the Fayette Co Farmers Market, WV today in Fayetteville. We have 2 vendors there today until 1230pm. Irene's Bread & Jam is there with her delicious variety of breads, cinnamon rolls, pepperoni rolls, jams, sour kraut, apple butter, maple syrup, fudge, hand pies, freeze dried candy and more. The Sewing Basket is set up with her beautiful, handmade tablerunners, bags and aprons. The regular markets will start this Thursday in Oakhill and Saturday in Fayetteville.

Good morning! The stand is open for the day, but a couple of quick updates—

You all managed to buy me out of a full cheesecake yesterday (thank you for that 🤍), so the cooler will be empty today. I’ll have another cheesecake coming out tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

If you had your eye on it, tomorrow’s your day.

I also added a few new pantry items:
• Pickled dilly beans
• Pickled carrots
• Blueberry rhubarb relish (sweet with a little bite—really good with something like a chicken and goat cheese bake)

And since we’re talking about it—jams and jellies aren’t just for toast.

• Stir a couple tablespoons of strawberry jam into olive oil + balsamic for a quick vinaigrette
• Spread strawberry jalapeño jam on puff pastry, add cheddar, and bake for an easy flatbread
• Warm up some pineapple jam and drizzle over grilled pork for an easy sauce

Simple ideas, but they work.

I did add some chocolate pecan sammies with a vanilla maple buttercream, and I’ll have more brownies out this afternoon as well.

The Fayette Co Farmers Market, WV would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Easter 🐣
We will open for the season in Oakhill on April 23rd, 12-6pm, on Virginia St, beside DHHR and in Fayetteville on April 25th, 8-12:30pm, on W Wiseman Ave, on the courthouse lot!!! Please come visit us and support our local vendors! We grow and produce everything we sell right here in and surrounding Fayette Co!! Our produce comes in later because we do not buy it from out of state!!! We have several vendors offering a variety of produces! Hope to see you soon!!
