Babe is back in the farrowing pen and it will be any time now. No milk yet but the poor girl is huge and a little miserable. She is taking comfort in the plums that are dropping off the tree and a nice mud hole Farm Boy made for her.

Fly season has been murder this year and the bites in their ears have to be Hella annoying so we upgraded to the ear sleeves. Dutton and Hippy were old pros at putting these on, the Dragon was less than enthused, especially with the color. Perhaps we will switch her to the rainbow tie-dye for tomorrow.

We are missing grandma this morning but she's off to see Gentri with Winston for her last chemo treatment.

When moms home ill even make the bread from scratch too. Its kind of amazing when you realize you've hit the point where you produced nearly everything on the table youre about to eat. Its a cool feeling.

If youre lookingn for hog shares, we have one open for November and more being raised up for next springs processing.

Its hot, like really hot and the lupus has been flaring for a few days now. So im supervising from the wind tunnel that is our alleyway, horse stall fans and wind blowing while Farm Boy installs a hitching post grandma requested and the animals mill around the barnyard. Eloras in the background cussing out the chickens for getting in her way while shes refreshing the turkey poult enclosure 😂
