Before there was the United States of America, there were just ordinary men who refused to accept that freedom belonged to someone else.
“The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” — Thomas Jefferson
They weren’t guaranteed victory.
They weren’t the strongest army.
Many knew signing their names to the Declaration of Independence could cost them everything—their farms, their businesses, their fortunes, and even their lives.
Yet they signed it anyway.
They believed their children and grandchildren deserved something better. They were willing to sacrifice everything so future generations could live free.
Today, 250 years later, we’re the beneficiaries of that courage.
We wake up every morning with freedoms that billions of people around the world can only dream about. We have the opportunity to build a life, raise our families, worship as we choose, own land, start businesses, and chase our dreams because a small group of brave Americans chose courage over comfort.
Freedom isn’t free. It never has been.
It was purchased through sacrifice—first by our Founding Fathers, then by generations of Americans who answered the call to defend this nation.
So today, as we gather with family around the grill, watch fireworks light up the sky, and celebrate this great country, let’s remember why we can.
Be grateful.
Be proud.
Never forget the price that was paid for the freedoms we enjoy every single day.
From all of us at Klein Beef, we wish you and your family a safe, blessed, and Happy Independence Day.
