Went on a bike ride today but stopped at the Official Severance Farmer's Market to buy some goodies! Sourdough bread from Rachel Blum, a candle from Raven Wick Candle Company (Orange Blossom, which I requested last fall iykyk), cookies and tamales from other vendors. Lots of vendors, so stop by and support local!

We have great news!!!!! Pumpkin Patch 2026 is back on! The last few weeks of moisture have added enough irrigation days for us to plant pumpkins. We will plant on time, in the next two weeks!
We are so thankful for this miracle!๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ

Bye, bye sorghum maze. Until next time.

Hello Severance neighbors, we have a permit to burn our sorghum maze and will be doing that today. No need to call 911, this burn is permitted and being controlled and supervised. We are the farm near the water tower in Severance, so that is where the smoke will come from.

Is there a farmer anywhere in NOCO not doing a happy dance today? If the mountains get a couple of feet of snow, we may be able to plant pumpkins!!!๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ

We received a sad email in the last few days. Based on the current drought, we probably will not be able to irrigate our fields enough to grow pumpkins this season. This is sad for us, as we love doing the pumpkin patch each fall. However, our little patch does not matter in light of the bigger impact to our fellow farmers who grow crops that support our food sources. This drought is serious. Please, say a prayer, send out good vibes, or whatever feels right to you for rain, and lots of it, spread out over the next several weeks.
We will make the call by June 1 about the patch, but as of right now, it would not be possible.๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ’”๐ŸŽƒ
