SWEET CORN SEASON 🌽

We grow a variety called “Gotta Have It” which is known for its sweetness and long shelf life compared to other sweet corn.

Unlike many varieties that begin turning their natural sugars into starch as soon as they’re picked, Gotta Have It stays sweet much longer. It will keep fresh in your refrigerator for up to 3 weeks and maintain its sweet flavor in the freezer for up to 12 months.

There is a small sampling at the farmstand - OPEN NOW!

If you’re planning to freeze corn or stock up, send me a message to preorder however many ears you’d like. We expect to have a steady supply for the next 4–6 weeks, but you won’t want to miss it!

if you saw yesterdays harvest basket, you had to have known the purple cauliflower was the first thing I was going to cook 🤩

I turned it into stir fry for dinner with some of our broccoli we saved from this spring and fresh carrots. The purple cauliflower did not disappoint… it tasted as good as it looked 😋

And yes baby Caden got to eat lots of veggies too!! my sweet happy boy.. at least one of my kids likes vegetables from the garden 😅🤣

Hubby’s home!! Yay!!! Such a relief for him to be home. I definitely have a long to do list awaiting him 🫣

While Noah was gone, he kept saying how much he wanted a home cooked meal so I made sure to make him a good one 🫶🏼 Bone in roast with herbs, onions, carrots and potatoes from the garden. So fun for me to see a meal complete with everything we grow on our own property.

This week has been so busy, with a few unexpected turns. I’ve spent hours in the gardens this week harvesting, weeding, watering.. im officially over the heat. However, I’m also excited because we started harvesting cucumbers and I managed to find some time to make fresh pickles with fresh herbs. Ingredients to make your own pickles are available at the stand today!

Speaking of the farmstand.. I finally found time to set up the farmstand for the first time this week🫣 there is lots of fresh produce out there. Apologies to all of you that stopped this week and were not able to get what you needed. Two little babies needed their mom a little more than usual this week so thank you for your patience, grace and support of our little farmstand. We should be back into the regular swing of things soon 🥰
