We save all of our egg shells, bake them to dry them out, grind them in the food processor, and then feed them back to the flock. Our ladies need the extra calcium boost to keep them healthy as well as producing eggs with strong shells.

We also still have a few dozen eggs that are ready to go in your fridge. Whether you’re baking for the holidays or are craving some deviled eggs, our ladies will keep you stocked.

These sassy ladies and gent love pasture grazing. They all but maul me every time I open a door to their coop or run to check for eggs each day. I’d say we’ve done a decent job of handling them since they’ve now turned out to be some of the friendliest chickens I’ve ever had. They’ve even come running up the steps and onto the porch to see what we’re doing when we step outside or try to follow us into the house. No house chickens here! 😂

For the past few days, we’ve consistently received 3 eggs a day! Whether they slow down for the winter or not will totally be up to them. I’ll keep everyone updated as to when we have eggs on hand for sale.
