The Town of South Fork operates, in part, off of sales tax money collected by its businesses.
How much revenue do you think the Town has lost due to the owner of the Rainbow failing to stock the shelves and provide locals & visitors a place to shop?
Keep in mind if we have to go to Del Norte, Monte or Alamosa to grocery shop, then our tax dollars go to those towns.
In a 2025 Town Board meeting the owner of the Rainbow accused another South Fork entity of "driving business to another town, due to selection and pricing." POT-KETTLE-BLACK. This is exactly what he is doing!
The photos show the current state of the Rainbow. This is not just because of the Holiday weekend. It has looked like this for months.
