Our monthly meat and vegetable CSA boxes are still full, but we have a few Father’s Day special boxes available to the public. If you are interested in one please comment or send us a message!

The picture of the vegetables is what each of our monthly CSA vegetable boxes picked up last week and we are continually humbled that we get to provide 10 families with food grown on our farm! When we pray over our animals and gardens we not only ask God to bless them but also to bless each one of you that feed your family with the food we raise. We are thankful to each of our families that continue to support the work that our little family does together on the farm.

A lot of worship is done right here in this garden. God is everywhere, but He seems to speak the loudest to me right here in the midst of weeding, watering, and doing all the things that need to be done. God’s given each of us a spiritual garden, tend it. Take care of what He has given you, watch how it grows. You have to put in the work. You have to keep the weeds from taking over, you have to water, you have to show up. Come to the Father just as you are, spend time in His garden(his word and service)Yes there will be work to do, but there is also endless grace. And when it comes time the harvest will be overflowing and we will have a seat at His table to enjoy it.

Just a little piece of one of our gardens. These gardens sure keep us busy weeding and tending them along with all the other animals and jobs on the farm, but we are still eating food we canned from our garden last year and that makes all the work worth it. The gardens this year will also feed 10 other families with our monthly vegetable boxes(boxes are full), and we are so honored to grow food for those families tables and steward this land. Thank you all for your support!

Our meat box subscription spaces are full. However we have a few left over add on items we offer our box customers available for the public!
Right now we have chicken broth, lard, and a bundle of our basic box recipes! These recipes are what they say they are, basic, no fuss, simple recipes for the cuts of meat our customers find in their boxes from us. But they are great recipes for anyone getting their chicken and pork from anywhere!
What are some of these recipes you ask? Whole roasted chicken, Dad’s Hot Wings, Grandma’s Chicken Enchiladas, Smoked Boston Butt, Kay’s Biscuits, and more!
If you are interested in snatching up the chicken broth or lard while quantities are available leave us a comment or message, it will go fast!

Give me the dirty floors, the muddy boots and clothes. Give me the milk pails in the sink and the homegrown meal on the stove. Give me the fences that need fixing and the hay that needs cutting. Give me the garden that needs tending and the food that needs preserving. Give me the livestock in the house that needs care and the little hands always ready to help. Give me the farm and we will call it home.

One of the best gifts I believe we are giving our son is the experience of life on the farm. This morning before school he ran out the door in his pajamas because he heard us say Jolene had her piglets overnight. Two piglets had died which is normal the first couple days to loose a few and we don’t shield him from the hard things here. So before school we got to talk about life and death and God’s wonderful creation. This is part of his normal life. It’s pigs, goats, cows, chickens, and tending gardens. But it’s so much more than that it’s hard work, it’s discipline, it’s family connection, and above all it’s an opportunity everyday to see and talk about God’s handiwork. I hope one day he looks back and sees what a gift this was!

We have some spots left to sign up for our meat box subscription starting in April! These boxes contain pasture raised pork and chicken. You can choose from a large ($150) or small box ($50) and choose to get it monthly or every other month. Send us a message for more information if you are interested, and commit to a box today (Jan 20th- tomorrow Jan 21st at 6pm) to receive $5 off your first box starting in April!
