Peace Acres

Peace Acres About Peace Acres Proprietor Susie Peace grew up on the 20-acre property outside Strafford, MO.

Peace Acres is in its infancy as a small-scale farm offering Consumer Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships, and selling extra produce at local markets. She and her husband, Mike, are in the process of expanding the gardens, increasing the number of bee hives, and working on fencing and building construction needs for moving into poultry/eggs and cattle production.

I just want you all to know how proud I am of my Husband, Mike Peace. Every year he is sure that he has failed somehow with his bees, and every year, he harvests more honey than expected. This year's honey is super light colored, and absolutely delicious!

My late garden is beginning to grow, and I'm pretty happy with the size of the garlic that I planted in the remains of last year's compost pile, which grew an astounding number of delicious volunteer melons.

Purchased some black gold from the City of Springfield today. Once home, I threw this Little Bastard (yes, our term of endearment for him) into the truck so that I wouldn't run him over while maneuvering. I think he spent about two hours refusing to get out.
