The egg business can be hard and it was a struggle this summer.
From snakes to racoons and skunks, then the heat brought production down and the latest, we had a creature get into the coop and we are 11 laying hens down.
This has put me out of business. Almost 3 years and I haven't sold a single egg in over 2 months.
I had 3 regular customers, 1 that has been with me from the beginning and I appraciate everyone for supporting me in my egg business. I am sorry we will be starting almost completely over this time. Sadly, I now have just 4 hens and 1 rooster left.
Thank you again for all the support many in my community has shown me. I am heavy hearted but this is the business. It is unfortunate but there will always be predators at their coop and even when I feel it is impenetrable, sometimes they seem to find a way in.
