🐝Experience Raw Oregon Honey this Saturday at PSU Farmers Market!🍯

Raw Oregon Honey is a family-owned business operated by three generations, with several apiaries located along the Willamette River in Oak Grove, Oregon.

The unique flavor of their honey comes from the area's blackberries, old-growth trees, and the diverse gardening choices of the community's residents.

Filtered only once and never heated, Raw Oregon Honey preserves all its natural qualities, making it an antioxidant-rich, fully local, and delicious product.

The company practices sustainable farming methods, uses no chemicals, and raises its bees from local stock to help ensure the survival of the Northwest Honey Bee.

Be sure to stop by their booth this Saturday (and every third Saturday throughout the season) to explore their wide array of raw honey!

Sulina's Garden has the stunning fresh flower bouquets you need at Kenton Farmers Market this Wednesday and Lents International Farmers Market this Sunday!

Sulina and her husband, Lee, own 4 acres in Boring, Oregon, where they cultivate a diverse array of flowers, including peonies, irises, dahlias, lilies, sunflowers, and zinnias. They also grow some berries, leafy greens, herbs, zucchinis, plums, and other produce.

For over a decade, they have been bringing their beautiful blooms to our markets, creating breathtaking floral arrangements, and building a loyal following. (Swipe to see more pics of Sulina, Lee, and their flowers.)

Although both Sulina and Lee grew up farming, Sulina's journey as a flower grower began with a gift of bulbs from a relative. This inspired her to create a home garden, which has since blossomed into a thriving hobby business.

You can find Sulina's Garden every Wednesday, 3 pm - 7 pm at Kenton Farmers Market and every Sunday, 10 am - 3 pm at Lents International Farmers Market.

It will be a fun day at the market, celebrating tomato season and showcasing over a dozen regional farmers and local food makers.

Come enjoy a variety of fun activities we have planned:
🍅Recipe tasting at 4 pm: CJ of Alberta Alchemy will be preparing sauces made with tomatoes grown by our farmers.
🍅Sample local tomatoes grown by our farmers
🍅Spin our wheel for a chance to win prizes!

The market will be open during its regular hours this Wednesday!

In light of tomorrow's forecasted high temperatures and poor air quality, we have implemented measures to help reduce exposure while keeping the Kenton Farmers Market open 3 pm to 7 pm.

To minimize heat exposure, all vendors will be located on the shadier side of the market on North McClellan.

Additionally, we will have cooling stations available and KN95 masks on hand to help everyone feel safe and comfortable.

We encourage you to come out, if possible, and support the hardworking local farmers and food producers who rely on the market for their livelihoods.

Thank you for your understanding as we strive to serve our community while ensuring everyone's health at the market.

If there are any changes, we will post an update.

In the meantime, please take care and stay hydrated.

Open this Wednesday but closing at 1 pm due to the forecasted poor air quality.

We're making this adjustment to close Shemanski Park Farmers Market an hour earlier to ensure the safety of our shoppers, vendors, and staff.

We encourage you to come out and support our hardworking local farmers and food producers who rely on the market for their livelihood. To help you feel comfortable, we'll have cooling stations and KN95 masks available.

As of now, we're excited to share that we have almost two dozen local farm and food producers scheduled to be there!

Thank you for your understanding as we work to balance serving our community with protecting everyone's health at the market. Your support means a lot to our vendors and us.

We'll post updates if anything changes.

Join us for an online workshop, "Working Together to Make Markets Welcoming for All: Your Role as a Vendor," on Thurs, Aug 27, 3:30 pm PST.

This free workshop will be held via Zoom, allowing you to join from wherever you are!

Led by Sagdrina Brown Jalal of Atlanta Leadership Consulting & founder of The SageD Collective, this workshop centers vendors as culture carriers, storytellers, and relationship-builders at farmers markets.

Participants will explore how sharing food traditions with care, avoiding cultural appropriation, and creating welcoming booth environments can deepen customer trust, strengthen community connections, and support long-term sales.

The session emphasizes practical tools vendors can immediately use to support inclusive customer service—both personally and through their booth staff.
