Hey y’all—just hopping on real quick to say I know I haven’t been going live as much lately, and I truly appreciate your patience. Life has been lifing, and I just found out my official graduation date has been moved to December 2025. So with that being said, finishing strong has become a major priority for me—so I can continue showing up for you and supporting your food and nutrition journey in the best way possible.
But mark your calendars—June 20th at 6pm we’re back at the table! I’ll be going live with a small group reading from the Spice Pairing Cheat Sheet. The eBook will officially be available on Amazon and on the website, and for those who like something to hold in their hands, the hard copy will drop in July.

Our Story
OC Vegan Foods (Organic and Conventional Vegan Foods) was founded in 2008 by Omi Ogunwale El to fill the Mid-South community’s need for more healthy plant-based foods options, made without artificial coloring, processed sugars, hydrogenated oil and GMOs. In 2016, the company was rebranded as Green Goddess Vegan Foods.
Omi, a vegan for more than two decades, is passionate about spreading the healthy food movement by introducing people to creative, innovative and delicious plant-based foods.
In 2008, the year the company was founded, it secured a contract with national health food retailer Whole Foods Market. Green Goddess was one of the first local women-owned companies to sell products in Whole Foods Market in Memphis.
Green Goddess originally supplied Whole Foods with vegan pastries but later added a line of flavorful vegan popcorn infused with superfood ingredients. Green Goddess Gourmet Vegan Popcorn became a hit with customers and the company began selling its popcorn in Whole Foods stores in Nashville, Knoxville and Atlanta. The popcorn is also sold online and through other stores, cafes and coffee shops. Green Goddess Vegan Foods is now looking into expanding product sales to other large national retail chains.
The company’s first brick-and-mortar store, Green Goddess Popcorn & Tea Lounge, located at 3078 Summer Avenue, celebrated its grand opening May 19, 2018. The store sell teas and vegan popcorn and desserts, and will offer community classes, workshops, and events focused on healthy living.
Green Goddess Vegan Foods’ mission extends beyond popcorn. The company’s sister nonprofit, Green Goddess Global, is dedicated to empowering women to love and nurture themselves, adopt healthier eating habits, and encourage and foster entrepreneurship skills.
Green Goddess Vegan Foods is a member of the Greater Memphis Chamber and the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.
