Bring the Wow Factor: Memorial Day BBQ + Artisanal Cheese.

Today is the last day to order for Memorial Day! We put together a cheat sheet for you on how to use some of our favorite cheeses on the grill! Our perfect selections include 4-Year Gouda, Moody Blue Cheese, and Hudson Valley Cheddar.

Cheat Sheet:

Using Gouda

Our 4-year aged Gouda offers a sweet, nutty flavor and a semi-hard to hard texture that melts beautifully. It pairs exceptionally well with grilled meats like burgers and pork. Try slicing aged Gouda and placing it on top of burgers during the last few minutes of grilling for a rich, melted topping. Gouda on the grill adds an extra smoky layer of flavor that complements barbecue sauces and grilled chicken. You can also cube Gouda for skewers with grilled vegetables or fruit like apples or pears.

Using Blue Cheese

Moody Blue cheese, with its distinct smokey and complex profile, provides a bold contrast to smoky and savory barbecue flavors. Crumbled blue cheese is excellent sprinkled over grilled steaks or burgers just before serving. A blue cheese sauce or dressing can be drizzled over grilled chicken wings or used as a dip for grilled vegetables. For a unique appetizer, try grilling slices of firm bread and topping them with crumbled blue cheese and a drizzle of honey or balsamic glaze.

Using Cheddar

Hudson Valley Cheddar, this versatile and widely loved cheese, has excellent melting properties, making it a barbecue staple. Hudson Valley Cheddar adds a robust flavor to grilled cheese sandwiches made on the grill or melted over pulled pork sandwiches . Shred our cheddar and mix it into burger patties before grilling for an extra cheesy bite. For a simple side, melt our cheddar over grilled corn on the cob or baked potatoes cooked in foil on the grill.
