The rabbit hole goes deep. I wanted to play around with pepper jams after starting pickling my quail eggs and now I'm up to 3 flavors of jams and 2 different pickled eggs. But man I really love the jams!! If you have never tried pepper jellys or jams your missing out!! If your wondering my jams are 1) Gold rush which is a Pineapple base with jalapeno, habanero and Sorento peppers. 2) Ruby Rush which is the same but adds Strawberries to the mix 3) Bigfoot Blood. This is my favorite so far. It's a Strawberry Mango blend with a strong habanero burn. 4) Quail eggs are just a special brine mix with Jalapenos, Habanero and Sorento peppers 5) The last Pickled Quail eggs is the unleaded ones that have the peppers removed for the light weights. Now I'm waiting for the time to experiment with some pepper jams using watermelon, some blueberry's, and peaches. This is going to be a busy summer!!!

I haven't been on here in a while but we're still around!! I had such big plans for this spring and summer but life gets in the way. I have the hardest time trusting what God has in store and I always try and rush things. We're going to be relocating sometime this summer to early fall and I will have to rebuild my setup but better! We're still doing smaller hatches to sell to cover cost of feed but that's ok. I believe God has a plan and a blessing to those who wait for him. Happy hump day everyone!!!

This is a awesome group. Go check them out and the soaps are top notch.

This is my year anniversary from starting with the quail hobby!! I've met and chatted with some awesome people and individuals from near and afar. And I first wanted to say thank you for all of your help and support. Now to my post. A year ago I ordered my first eggs from eBay and it was a batch of Pearl Fee and when they hatched I had everything pop out. I was posting pics and thought I was going big time until they were mixed batches. Then I had a couple hiding in the back ground making me hatch out dot whites along with a few others with the pearls. Now to this batch. This hatch has brought me happiness because I decided to try my original pearls again and no solid yellow birds. They are almost a week old and their pinfeathers are showing pearl patterns and it's exciting. Thanks again for all of your help especially Aaron Guidroz and a few others. Y'all are the best and I pray for blessings for you and your families. And yes I know not all are pearls lol

I have a giant question for all my quail and homestead peeps. I make pickled quail eggs and sell to help make ends meet for my birds. And I'm constantly getting slack about them not getting covered on cottage laws. I'm in SC and I do know the FDA is federal and they look at them the same every where. Now how to sell without anything said? Heck you can have them shipped from Etsy.
