We offer several types of feed for our flock. They are always free range and have access to about an acre of compost, as well as the woods and pastures on the property. During spring, summer and fall, much of their nutrition is from free ranging. For dry feed they get scratch grain and layer crumbles. We also supplement with fermented corn, yogurt and soaked scratch grain. Pelleted feed and alfalfa leaves (from feeding alfalfa to other critters) are soaked in the liquid drained from the fermented grain.

Providing soaked and fermented food increases the overall health and laying of our flock. We just want to be transparent about the feeding and care of our birds.

Easter is right around the corner. We have tons of colored and tinted eggs. These are beautiful enough you don't have to dye them. But tinted eggs, like the top dozen, can be fun for dyeing. Mixing colors to see what you get, or enhancing the color it's already showing. I will have several dozen at C-Arrow this weekend. These will all be unwashed, so best to leave them at room temp.

As we all know, Facebook limits how you distribute food and agricultural products. Cost will be on photos or in comments. Generally if we post something it is something we have available. If we are just showing our flock or interesting birds or eggs, it will be noted NFS

All eggs should be fertile, so could potentially hatch if incubated, but will be a barnyard mix. We will have breeding areas set up for specific crosses we are working on. Those hatching eggs will be noted.

Chicks are offered straight run, with info on the flock they came from.

A regular dozen could include a mix of medium to dark brown, olive green, mint green, pale blue, pink, various ivory/cream. Eggs may vary in size, but mostly large. We also offer bantam eggs which are great for hard boiled! Occasionally have duck eggs available as well.

*Clean* eggs will be sold unwashed and can be left at room temperature. We do not recommend putting them into the fridge as the damp conditions can promote bacteria

If we wash the eggs, they will be sold cold and need to be kept in the refrigerator.

We have 2 properties, 1 at C-Arrow Stables in Maize. Eggs are generally available during normal business hours. Our other property is between Florence and Marion. Please contact us if you'd like to pick them up there.

We re-use donated cartons. Sometime soon we will offer a punch card for bringing cartons back.
