Muchos han preguntado... ¿Qué pasó? ¿Por qué ha estado cerrada la Chicago Drive por tanto tiempo?
Les compartimos la breve historia.
El año pasado, se detectó un conflicto en el techo del edificio, y empezamos a investigar la causa. Resulta que parte de la infraestructura del edificio ya no estuvo haciendo su función por razones y causas desconocidas (nada de culpa nuestra ni de ninguna compañía que haya trabajado en el edificio), y tuvimos que cerrar parte de la tienda para la seguridad de nuestro equipo y nuestros clientes.
Después de investigar más, se determinó que fue necesario reemplazar parte del techo para sostener la integridad del edificio para el largo plazo. No todo el edificio fue afectado, pero la parte afectada estaba en el mero centro del edificio donde muchos compran sus frijoles y chiles. Desafortunadamente, esto no fue un trabajo sencillo.
Con esto y con ustedes, nuestra comunidad, en mente, se tomó la decisión de cerrar la tienda hasta terminar con las reparaciones. No nos fue posible darles la experiencia ni ofrecer la selección de productos que buscan de esta tienda durante este tiempo.
Les compartimos una foto de cuando se abrió el techo para reemplazar las partes estructurales.
Lo bueno es que, muy pronto, estaremos listos abrir estas puertas otra vez y darles la bienvenida que todos hemos estado esperando por mucho tiempo. Manténganse al tanto a nuestras redes sociales para el anuncio oficial de la fecha de reapertura.

Many of you have asked... What happened? Why has the Chicago Drive store been closed for so long?
Here is the short story.
Last year, an issue was detected with the building's roof, and we began investigating the cause. It turned out that part of the building's infrastructure was no longer functioning properly—due to unknown reasons (none of which was our fault, nor that of any company that has worked on the building)—so we had to close a section of the store to ensure the safety of our team and customers.
After further investigation, it was determined that replacing part of the roof was necessary to maintain the building's long-term structural integrity. Not the entire building was affected, but the impacted area was right in the center—where many customers shop for beans and chiles. Unfortunately, this was not a simple job.
With this—and you, our community—in mind, it was decided to close the store until repairs were complete. During this time, we wouldn't be able to provide the full, proper experience or the product selection you shop for at this location.

The good news is that we’ll soon be ready to open our doors again and provide the welcome we’ve all been waiting for. Keep an eye on our social media channels for the official reopening date announcement.
