Hello everyone! My name is Boo Bear, and I am a 15-year-old African Grey, so I have many years left to share with my forever family! My previous owner had me since hatching, and we were so sad to part ways a few months ago. While it was difficult, I have learned it is for the best. My previous owners made the hard decision to turn me over to the amazing people at FPR due to a difficult home life for us.

However, since meeting and living with my new foster family, my diet has changed, I have a brand-new, bigger cage and I am slowly acclimating to the new changes in my life. I never really liked pellets before, so we are taking things back to basics with my diet and are working things back in slowly as I heal and have tons of new feather growth! I also do talk a bit, and know quite a few phrases including, "hello" and "what ya' doin'".

I am enjoying my time out of the cage so much more – I did not come out of my cage often in my old home. I also have learned I LOVE to preen in the shower! It is so much fun! I will step up for you and will climb up on to your shoulder and hang out with you after I warm up to you.

I have taken a slight preference to my foster dad over my foster mom right now.

What other cool things would you like to learn about me? How about we set up a time to meet? If interested, please fill out the application below.

Boo Bear would love a new toy or treat as he gets settled in at his foster home.

Interested in adoption? Please go to our website to fill out an application, view adoption fees and to read our adoption protocol

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
