Actual Billionaires Are Not Teaching You 'The Secrets' Of Wealth, But You're Listening To Motivational Speakers And Religious Leaders Whose Sources Of Income Are Your Own Donations — Catholic Priest, Fr. John Oluoma

He wrote: “The Dangotes, the Ovias, the Arthur Ezes, the Otedolas and other men and women with legitimate wealth are not teaching you 'the secrets" of wealth and how to make money or become wealthy. Yet you are piously listening to motivational speakers and religious leaders(whose sources of income are your own donations)teach you money rules and secrets to get wealthy? 😮
Is this not an "ikegwuru" situation? Let me just come and be going. 👣👣👣👣

Before I go, I want to quickly tell you that most, if not all, who became wealthy never knew they would. They just seized the opportunity to sell services and products people were willing to buy. Of course there are broad principles that guide wealth acquisition, but they are not secrets and following them will not neccesarily make everyone wealthy. Most, if not all who desired to be rich either got frustrated or acquired it at the expense of societal and godly values.

If you are doing any legitimate thing that pays your bill, find a way of scaling up or moving to another with better pay if you find the opportunity.

"I planted, Apollo's watered. God gave the increase" 1Cor 3:6
May God bless your legit hussles and work with increase in the name of Jesus Christ”

A father told his daughter, "Congrats on your graduation. I bought you a car a while back. I want you to have it now."

Before I give it to you, take it to a car dealer in the city and sell it. See how much they offer.”

The girl came back to her father & said: "They offered me $10,000 dollars because it looks very old"

Father said: "Ok, now take it to the pawn shop".

The girl returns to her father & said: "The pawn shop offered $1,000 dollars because it's a very old car & a lot of work done".

The father told her to join a passionate car club with experts & show them the car.

The girl drove to the passionate car club.

She returned to her father after a few hours & told him, “Some people in the club offered me $100k because its a rare car that's in good condition.”

Then the father said, "I wanted to let you know that you are not worth anything if you are not in the right place. If you are not appreciated, do not be angry, that means you are in the wrong place. Don't stay in a place where no one sees your value ."

The moral of the story : Know your worth and know where you are valued. A diamond doesn't shine on the bottom of a cave.

NB...
It's not about the story, it's a parable about WHERE you choose to recognize your self worth, and understanding you should be aware from whom you measure your value from the external world.

Be careful where your sense of measure comes from.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT..

Some years back, it was the most beautiful house in this community. The owner was the richest man in whom all looked up to for support. The vehicle was a cynosure of all eyes. It was like a dream come true when the owner added both house and vehicle to his list of possession.

But today, the properties have grown old and in fulfillment of the natural law, must collapse for a new house to develop.

Should anyone be found living inside this building as it stands now, such a person is labelled as "insane" and must be kept at arm's length.

Nothing in life is worth fighting for. Your best clothes is someone's rag. Your account balance is someone's donation at a function. Your girlfriend/ boyfriend/ fiance/ fiancée is someone's ex. Every single pr******te you see in an hotel or on the street at night was at some point in time a virgin. So what is the squabble all about? Life is too small to feel bigger or better than anybody.

There is only one thing that is worth bragging, which is: "Life in God Almighty". So, be good to your fellow man and always make friends. Always remember that the people you trampled upon on your way up a ladder will be the same set of people you are likely to pass on your way down. So, cause no problem for others because if you do, they will become your very problem one day.

Finally, even banana stems will one day become dried leaves. So, don't be foolishly driven by material possession. It will soon grow old and die.

But one with God is everlasting!!!

WISDOM FOR PARENTING

1- Avoid Giving your child everything he asks for. He will grow up believing that he has the right to get everything he wants.

2-Avoid laughing when your child speaks insulting words. He will grow up thinking that disrespect is entertainment.

3-Avoid remaining insensitive to bad behavior that he can display without scolding him for his bad behavior. He will grow up thinking that there are no rules in society.

4- Avoid picking up anything that your child messes up. He will grow up believing that others must take responsibility for his responsibilities.

5- Avoid letting him watch any program on TV. He will grow up thinking that there is no difference between being a child and being an adult.

6- Avoid giving your child all the money he asks for. He will grow up thinking that getting money is easy and will not hesitate to steal for it.

7- Always avoid putting yourself on his side when he is wrong against the neighbors, his teachers, the police. He will grow up thinking that everything he does is right, it is the others who are wrong.

8- Avoid leaving him alone at home when you go to the place of worship, otherwise he will grow up thinking that God does not exist.

May our labour over our children not be in vain.

History of Sam Loco Efe
He was born in Enugu on 25th December 1945.

His father was a warder, by name— Arase Efeimwonkiyeke. He was a Benin man who worked in Eastern Nigeria and his mother was a petty trader who sold akara.

He spent his childhood in the town of Abakaliki in present-day Ebonyi State. In fact, he spent much of his years in Abakaliki.

When he was in primary school, he lost his father. He had to support his mother in her business which made him spend longer than usual years before graduating from primary school.

He started acting while still in school when a theatre group came to stage a play called "The Doctor In Spite of Himself", afterwards he discussed with members of the group about the theatre and performance arts.

In elementary school, he was a member of various groups including a drama society that performed a rendition of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar at an Eastern regional arts festival in Abakaliki, the play came last in the drama competition but Efe was noted as the best actor which earned him a scholarship to complete elementary school.

After finishing elementary school, he attended various secondary schools and was active in the drama society, organizing a performance of The Doctor in Spite of Himself and a play called Vendetta.

After secondary school, he was a member of a traveling theatre group and played soccer earning the moniker locomotive later shortened as loco. That was how his name Loco came to being.

During the Biafran genocidal War, Efe fought on the Biafra side until he returned to Benin in 1968. He saw himself as an Igbo man and a Biafran before anything.

While in Benin in the 60s, he started the Ovonranwen Theatre Group with their debut production being Ogierhiakhi’s Obaiwape.

However, his earnings from acting was meagre and thereafter, he traveled to Lagos to seek better career opportunities and to explore a career in football.

He got his first job in 1972 working for Michelin Tyres. He applied for the position without knowing how to drive which was a requirement for the job.

He learned how to drive a day before the interview. During the interview, he passed the oral interview and failed the driving test but honesty about his error in judgement won over the interviewer.

He worked for Michelin selling tyres in Lagos, Ijebu Ode and Abeokuta. He soon left Michelin to work for Dunlop Tyres as a Senior Sales Representative in the Tyres and Allied products division.

While working for Dunlop in Benin, he was a cast member of NTA Benin's television series, Hotel de Jordan and also performed in a rendition of Ola Rotimi's The Gods are Not to Blame.

In 1977, he left sales for a career in theatre. He auditioned and got the lead part of Langbodo, a play by Dapo Adelugba presented during FESTAC.

After the end of Festac, Adelugba introduced him to a friend of his at University of Ibadan about opportunities in theatre. Adelugba's friend was able to get Efe a position as a senior artiste in the institution.

Sam Loco would later become a household name and one of the early pioneers of Nollywood.

He made the world laugh.

He featured in Things Fall Apart series in the 80s.

Some movies he featured include:

1. Tom and Jerry
2. Final World Cup
3. Long John
4. Ukwa
5. Akịdị
6. My Love
7. I want to harvest you
8. The return of anunuebe..... And lots more

Sam Loco Efe died in his hotel room at Amakọhịa, Owere, Imo State on 7th August 2011. Till date, nobody knows the cause of his death. Ventolin was found with him when the room was broken open. Report has it that Sam Loco has been an asthmatic patient.

May his continue to rest in peace...

Billionaire’ Femi Otedola in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, "Sir what can you remember made you a happy man in life?"

Femi said: “I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness.

The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted.

Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realized that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long.

Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined.

The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids.

At the friend's request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs. But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him.

There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun.

It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot wining.

I felt real joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly.

I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else? The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely.

This child said: “I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognize you and thank you once again.

"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road."
