Organic delivery ... powered by legs! 🚲🍎 It's World Bicycle Day, and we've uncovered this pear-fect photo of a delivery bike owned by Kelly's fruit shop around the 1970s. 🍐 The business once had premises on Bridge Street and Longstone Street, keeping the community well stocked with the freshest produce.

Did you ever receive an order from Kelly's? https://buff.ly/yLRxt1p

We have moved out of the tunnels to fields. Lots of lettuce , greens , chard and scallions .The weather has been challenging to say the least. I managed to get onto the land yesterday for a few hours with discs to make up drills to cover a flush of weeds on the empty ground waiting to be planted. 60% of what we grow gets planted over the next three weeks . We just hope the weather is not as bad as currently being forecast. Farmers talking about weather again. Who would have guessed.

🀧🍯🐝 Meet Kai Young, local beekeeper from Upper Ballinderry, who's been tending native Irish honey bees for over six years at Oakfield Apiary. A member of the Randalstown and District Beekeeping Association and the Native Irish Honeybee Society, Kai is passionate about protecting and working with native Irish bees. His jars of pure, local honey are now stocked here at Sonas Lisburn β€” because we love supporting craft producers who share our values around sustainability and quality. Honey is packed with antihistamine, antibiotic, and antiseptic properties, making it genuinely good for your health. And bees are integral to our ecology, which is why supporting local beekeepers like Kai really matters.
Come in store to get your jar of locally produced honey.
