Stop saying “Lahat tayo,” or “Pare-parehas lang naman tayo.”
NO, WE'RE NOT!
Not everyone can give the same as you do. Maybe yes, we are all struggling, but we have different sources and amounts of income.
Not everyone can spend the same amount of time on extra activities or easily attend every family event.
Maybe yes, we’re all busy, but our levels of busyness are not the same.
Some of us need to put in ten times the effort just to achieve what you can with one. It’s not your fault that you’re enjoying what you have now, but it’s also not our fault that life is giving us a more difficult path toward a better situation.
So please, stop saying things that make it sound easy for everyone just because it’s easy for you. You are lucky that you can enjoy things that others cannot. Stop saying “lang” to our struggles, and don’t assume that you’re more hardworking than others just because you have more.
Life is not one size fits all. Open your eyes and your mind (NOT ONLY YOUR MOUTH) to the real situation. Don’t base everything on what you have and what you can do. Be more understanding and kind, you’ll never truly know someone’s hardships until you experience the same.
