Oils for making Soap

30/04/2026

@⁨Latiefa Ishmail Seeds Swap⁩ I hope you make a brew of als (the entire plant, whether dried or wet has value), three cloves, a bay leaf, star aniseed, 1 soursop leaf, 1stick of cinnamon, turmeric (I use freshly grated), ginger (grated, chopped, etc). I add cancerbush, but not everyone can handle the bitterness. Boil 3 litres of water, place all the ingredients in the water, let it boil for two minutes, and then let it infuse for 5 minutes. Drink with or without a sweetening agent. This brew helps regulate blood pressure, reduces blood sugar, counters the growth of cancerous cells, counters internal infections, promotes gut health...the list goes on. I make the 3 litres, strain and bottle it into 300ml glass bottles (recycled and cleaned), place it in the fridge, warm up on the stove and drink on an empty stomach every morning. You've got enough dried also there to grow a forest and make a year's worth of brews😄

a volunteer in my garden - found out it is a great ally in minerals for health and good for pain and inflammation

"Black-jack (Bidens pilosa) is an edible vegetable, and is also used in medicine, fodder, herbal tea and as a spice. All parts, the aerial parts (leaves, flowers, seeds, and stems), and/or the roots, fresh or dried, are used as ingredients in traditional medicines.

It is frequently prepared as a dry powder, decoction, maceration or tincture. In order to reap the plant’s health benefits. The leaves may be eaten raw like green vegetables or boiled and prepared with other dishes such as cabbage to create a tasty and healthy meal that is loaded with a number of health benefits. The leaves are also used to prepare black-jack tea and juice. Despite the variety of uses, some communities still view the plant as a w**d only…"

Black Jack is a good source of vitamin A, benefiting vision and skin health. The plant is abundant in minerals such as potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Potassium helps regulate blood pressure and maintain heart function, while calcium and magnesium are crucial for strong bones and teeth".

Starting seeds in water is a fun way to watch roots grow, and it’s something I like doing on a windowsill where I can keep an eye on them 🌱
🥑 Avocado is probably the most popular and one of the easiest to try
🍋 Lemon and apple seeds can sprout, but I’ve found they take a little patience
🍑 Peach and plum pits will grow, but they usually need more time than people expect
🍒 Cherry seeds can sprout, but not every one will take
🍇 Grape seeds are small but can still get going in the right conditions
🌰 Hazelnut and fig can root, though I’ve had mixed results with those
🌺 Passion flower is a fun one if you want something a little different
🍎 Pomegranate seeds are easy to try and usually pretty quick
I change the water every few days and keep them in bright light. Just keep in mind, not all of these will turn into fruiting plants, but they’re still fun to grow.
