Last year I had an interview for a position as a Mentor in farming. This was an opportunity to meet other farmers start up and help guide them on their journey. I would over see more than 10 farms in vast areas and record their growth from start to finish.

I managed to be short listed as a good candidate, but I unfortunately didn't meet the requirement for the area. I was not within the area that they had given on the post itself but I was close by. Their higher ups were willing to look past it but the CEO said no. It was a detail I missed but they saw my worth and they were willing to bend the rules. I was sad but I continue to mentor where I can for myself. It was an opportunity to grow in my field, and I continue to do so regardless
