Feast of Eden has officially moved our fermentary to a brand-new home in Oudtshoorn!

While our farm shop is still getting its finishing touches, you don’t have to wait to get your fermentation fix. You can already purchase your favourite krauts, kimchi, vegan cheeze, kombucha, and other fermented goodies directly from the fermentary.

📍 Find us at Karoo Valley Farms on the George Road.
Just past the Engen garage, turn right onto the farm and follow the signs.

We’re incredibly excited about this new chapter and look forward to welcoming you to our new home. Thank you for being part of our journey as we continue to grow, ferment, and nourish.

See you on the farm!

Earthy mushrooms. Tangy achar. Creamy cashews.
Our Mushroom Achar Cheeze is where deep umami meets bold spice and living fermentation.
Rich cashew cream is blended with fermented mushrooms, warming spices, kombucha culture, and the unmistakable punch of achar-inspired flavour — creating something intensely savoury, tangy, and completely addictive.
Layered with garlic, coriander, chilli, sesame, and a touch of natural sweetness, this is not your average spread.
Spoon it onto crackers, melt it into warm dishes, spread it onto sandwiches, or elevate your next grazing board.

Our Mushroom Achar is a bold, live-fermented condiment packed with earthy mushrooms, toasted sesame and coriander seeds, warming spices, fresh herbs, and just the right amount of chilli heat.

It is naturally fermented for depth, complexity, and all the goodness of living food.

Deeply savoury. Brightly spiced.

Completely alive, rich, tangy, spicy, and layered with umami—this is the kind of condiment that transforms everything it touches.
Spoon it onto toast, grain bowls, curries, roasted vegetables, or grazing boards for an instant flavour lift.

Healthy feasting never looked this good.
We’ve been creating bruschettas with toasted sourdough, generously topped with our Kimcheeze, Mushroom Achar Cheeze, and bold Mushroom Achar — bringing together living flavour, creamy textures, tangy fermentation, and deep umami richness in every bite. Perfect for slow lunches, grazing tables, and effortless entertaining. Food made to be shared, savoured, and talked about.
Fermented. Cultured. Crafted for feasting.
Because wholesome food should still feel indulgent.

Why cashews?
1. Cashews contain natural fats and soft starches that become extremely smooth when soaked and blended. This creates the rich, creamy mouthfeel people associate with cheese.
2. Cashews have a mild, slightly sweet taste that makes them a perfect base for fermentation, herbs, spices, nutritional yeast, or kimchi flavours without overpowering them.
3. Cashews contain carbohydrates and proteins that beneficial bacteria can work with during fermentation. When fermented: • acidity increases, • flavour becomes more complex, • and the mixture develops tangy “cheesy” notes. This is similar to how bacteria transform dairy milk during traditional cheesemaking.
4. The healthy fats in cashews help create richness, spreadability, and that satisfying “cheese-like” body.

Creamy. Tangy. A little bit fiery.

Meet our Kimchi Cashew Cheeze — a bold plant-based spread where rich, creamy cashews meet the punchy depth of naturally fermented kimchi.

Packed with flavour and made with 100% natural ingredients, it’s the perfect balance of smooth, savoury, spicy, and tangy. Spread it on sandwiches, swirl it through pasta, dollop it onto baked potatoes, or enjoy it straight from the jar (we won’t judge).

Sweet. Spicy. Wildly addictive.

Our Pineapple Kimchi brings together the bold kick of traditional kimchi with the bright, tropical sweetness of pineapple — creating a ferment that’s layered, lively, and full of personality.

Naturally fermented and alive with flavour, it’s the perfect balance of heat, tang, crunch, and a hint of sunshine.

Not your average kimchi.
And definitely not your average pineapple.

Serving suggestion: Add our Pineapple to some fried rice for a delicious sweet-sour salad.
