Minimum standard: 0.8 to 1 m2 / pig
Recommended (Burkina hot climate): 1.2 m2 / pig
So :
100 pigs = 120 m2 minimum useful
Added traffic + technique: Total building surface ent 180 to 220 m2
3. TECHNICAL ARRANGEMENT PLAN
Internal organization
Divide into 5 batches of 20 pigs for good management and biosecurity measures
Dimensions of the rooms
20 pigs x 1.2 m2 = 24 m2 / lodge
Example: 4 m x 6 m
Total :
5 rooms = 120 m2
