DEAR FARMERS, LET’S TALK ABEG!
One thing I keep seeing on this blue app is people posting about their animals like:
“My goat is not eating. What drug should I give it?”
That’s it. No details. No history. No test. Just straight to medication like we’re playing bet.
Then boom! The comments section turns into a local pharmacy:
• “Use Oxytetracycline.”
• “Try Penstrept and add glucose.”
• “Mix multivitamin with engine oil and ginger water.”
Wait first, are we treating animals or preparing herbal pepper soup? 😩😭
What’s wōrse? Some farmers actually try ALL the suggestions, one after another, without even knowing what’s wrong with the animal in the first place. When the first one doesn’t work, they jump to the next. No diagnosis, no vet consultation. Just vibes and trials. Haba now!
Let me ask oga, if you fall sick, will you just be swallowing random drugs because strangers on Facebook said so? Or will you go to a hospital for proper diagnosis? So why treat your animals like experiments?
Let’s be guided, please 🙏🏽
👉Diagnosis comes first and not drugs.
👉Consult a vet online or offline, just make sure they’re trained.
👉Stop playing guesswork with animal health because it’s rīsky and funny part, it’s even expensive.
👉Avoid crowd prescription because every case is different, even if symptoms look similar.
And please, to the copy-and-paste crew dropping long Wikipedia replies in the comments. Abeg, did Wikipedia run any test on the animal? 😂😂
Farming is a business. Livestock farming is a science.
Let’s treat it with the professionalism it deserves. That’s how we’ll reduce mōrtality and make real money in this game.
Don’t gamble with animal līves. Farm smart. Vet first. Drug later. 🙌🏽
