Matabeleland North Show Society, organisers of the Matabeleland North Provincial Agricultural Show succesfully hosted the 2026 NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL SHOW SOCIETIES OF ZIMBABWE [NAASSZ] Annual General Meeting which saw members discussing about Show dates, supporting societies and local farmers as well as elected the new leadership for the association.
Mr Godfrey Mavankeni retained his seat as chair and will be deputised by Mr Augustine Mupakurirwa.
Mr Thabani Mkwananzi retained his position as secretary and will be deputised by Mr Tonderayi Choga.
Mrs Pedzisei Rusero was voted treasurer, while Mrs Moline Matina is the Marketing and Publicity.
Mr Brian Vengai, Mr Joseph at Mukwena and Alderman Chiteme are the committee members.

Happening now: The NAASSZ Annual General Meeting is ongoing at Bulawayo Agricultural Society members pavilion at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre where the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company ZITF .
The AGM is a platform for all Agricultural societies meet to plan for their year while reviewing the previous year.

The Matabeleland North Agricultural Show Society noted with sadness the Road Traffic Accident that happened on Sunday along 4 Mile Drive in Hwange after the Show's musical event. The Show Society sends heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes a speedy recovery to those who were injured. May we all be reminded to drive safely and not drive under the influence of alcohol.
