Community Sports Event Promotes Youth Engagement
A local young businessman, Jivas Mudimu, has taken a stand against substance abuse in his community by hosting a soccer tournament at Chikondoma Stadium on February 22nd. The event, which drew large crowds, aimed to provide an alternative for youths and keep them engaged in positive activities.
Mudimu, a supporter of the ruling Zanu PF party, believes in empowering young people and promoting community development. "We need to give our youth options and opportunities," he said. The soccer tournament featured teams from local schools and clubs, fostering teamwork and healthy competition.
The initiative has been praised by community leaders and residents, who hope it marks the beginning of more youth-focused programs. Mudimu plans to host more events, including workshops on entrepreneurship and skills training.
The community is rallying behind Jivas' efforts, seeing it as a step towards a brighter future for local youths. no to drugs
