Chilly Date is home born and homegrown.
Nivedita and Shreyas gave birth to it in the summer of 2016 and now it has grown into a healthy and fun brand.
The palm tree in their cosy garden gave fruit to some 15 kilos of dates. At first, the couple thought of gifting them to friends and family. But soon realised that it would take them weeks to clean, pack and distribute them.
Instead, Shreyas suggested to his wife to mix them with chillies and make a chutney. Nivedita took a simple idea and made a real product out of it. That’s how Chilly Date was born.
