United Hypermarket started in the year 2000 having our strategic location in Deira, Dubai to cater to vast variety of customers all around the UAE. Our business started after seeing the demand and opportunities, we conceptualized and started introducing new lines of products – food items which had catered to the demand of the market and growing – our turning point to making it into

a 24-hour hypermarket. Currently our company is offering our customers a variety of products: for non-food items, we have garments, household, electrical, personal and car accessories and along with this is our growing food retail with a variety of known brands starting from the local to imported ones at a very affordable price. We aimed to target our customer needs – a one-stop-shop where they can buy their needs in our shop at once. Our food products are ranging from raw foods like chilled and frozen goods to ready-to-eat foods. In time we had accumulated a vast majority of reputable and Municipality approved suppliers across the country. We also had maintained a good business relation with them as we grow. Our staffs have grown with us as well and now we are having an estimate of 200 dedicated personnel running the business. About 50 of the personnel are assigned in our food section and we had given them the privilege of having ample trainings on their job especially the required Basic Food Hygiene for food handlers. Along with this is their fit-to-work certificate (Occupational Health Card). As a growing food retail company, we are geared to improve our business and please our customers, most importantly to adhere to Dubai Municipality’s requirement of ensuring the safety of food sold in our shop and create a good reputation. In view of this, our company has set its objective to be competitive in the market having its food safety system in place. Thus, the management with its commitment is establishing now the HACCP system and maintaining appropriate standard of hygiene.
