Preparing the traditional Albanian pie Byrek with spinach for the summer day is easier than ever with our ready-made, fresh filo pastry!
With our pastry dough, anyone can cook spinach byrek pie in just 30 minutes in your kitchen.
To prepare the spinach byrek pie we need 12 fresh "Lloshi" pastry doughs made with love for you 🙂 500g Spinach, 100g slices of white cheese, 50ml olive oil, 3 fresh onions, some dill, parsley, pepper black and salt.
1. In a container, chop the spinach, chop the cheese and mix it with the oil, dill and parsley. Then we divide it into three equal parts.
2. Brush the pan with a little oil or butter.
3. Open three doughs by taking out the sides a little from the pan as in the photo. After each dough is placed, brush it with a little oil.
4. Lay the fourth dough only inside without taking the sides out.
5. Now that we have created the base of the pie, we throw the first part of the filling.
6. Place 3 more doughs keeping the sides inside the pan. After each dough is placed, brush it with a little oil.
7. Pour the second part of the filling
8. Place 3 more doughs, keeping the sides inside the pan, painting it with a little oil after each opened doughs.
9. Pour the third part of the filling.
10. Place two doughs on top inside the pan
11. Fold the side parts inside the pan.
12. We smear it on the surface with a little water with salt or milk, and divide it into 8 pieces like a pizza 😊 and put it to bake at 180 degrees for 20 min.
