Every weekend, locals across Australia put out their best β€” fresh eggs from the backyard, seasonal fruit off the tree, jars of homemade jam, bunches of flowers picked that morning.

Have you seen the new update?

We love it….

I asked the crew what they reckon about the markets launch. Security's on patrol, Percy's the ambassador.

We're putting markets on the map in SideStall, so locals can find their market day and the stalls trading there.

The Barossa market is a Saturday morning institution. But what about the other six days? πŸ‡

We've rounded up where to buy direct from growers and bakers across the Barossa, Gawler and the Northern Plains when it isn't market day.

This is Hachie. Hach for short. On the farm he's on the security team.

He looks fearless, though really it's the foxes, the hawks and the eagles who should be worried, because he sees the lot of them off. All so the free-range girls and boys can potter about and feel safe.

Looking after them like that is just how a good farm runs, and those are the growers SideStall helps you find near you.

🌱 SideStall of the Week: Farleigh Farms

If your veggie patch or fruit trees could talk, they'd probably ask you to read this one.

Farleigh Farms is a family-run farm in Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast (shoutout to all our πŸ™Œ), and their roadside stall specialises in bagged horse manure: a natural soil conditioner that gardeners absolutely love.

It began in the most practical way. Like most horse farms, they had plenty of manure every day, and rather than let a valuable resource go to waste, they started bagging it up for local gardeners. What began as a simple way to recycle nutrients has grown into a much-loved part of the farm, with thousands of bags sold and customers returning year after year because of the difference it makes.

For Missy and the team, the best part is knowing something from their farm is helping people grow their own food and gardens. They love hearing the stories that come back: giant pumpkins, thriving veggie patches and flourishing fruit trees, all started with a few bags from the stall. πŸŽƒ

Meet Gary, head of perimeter security 🐦

He's a guinea fowl, so he's loud, impossible to catch, and takes the job dead seriously. While he does his rounds, here's the control SideStall gives you: switch your stall on and off when you head away, flick products on or off as stock comes and goes, and run pre-orders or buy-now, whichever suits. Buy-now means people pay through the app, so no cash goes missing from the honesty box. Gary's a big fan of that one.
