Recently, we had the privilege of connecting with The Village Co. after witnessing the incredible work they do for families across our community. It quickly became clear that this was a cause we wanted to stand behind.
The Village Co. exists to ensure no new mum ever feels alone or unprepared on day one of motherhood.
Co-founded by former midwife Steph Malan this South Australian charity supports women throughout pregnancy and their baby’s first 12 months, particularly those experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, poverty or isolation.
The charity was born after Steph witnessed women arriving at hospital to give birth with none of the essentials, and leaving with little more than their newborn in their arms. From those heartbreaking experiences came a simple but powerful mission: to ensure every mother begins her journey with dignity, care and connection.
We’re proud to be partnering with The Village Co. and are excited to support their mission. As a first step, Munno Para Foodland has donated enough essential products to help fill 50 care bags for mums who need them most.
