🔵 NBN co is currently in Ararat undertaking a free bulk community fibre upgrade for residents in Ararat. NBN co technicians and Service Stream staff will be door knocking to inform customers of the free installation project and will be asking customers to sign a waiver to undertake the works. An appointment will then be made by the technicians to undertake the works. These works are at no cost and no cash payments will be asked for.

🔴 ALERT – Unfortunately, Council has also been made aware of scammers door-knocking in our community claiming to work for NBN Co. If a cash payment is asked for DO NOT make any payment and report this to the police. The local non-emergency Police number is (03) 5355 1500.

A train pulling up at Seppelt Great Western?
Now that’s exciting.

We’re thrilled to be one of the featured stops on the inaugural Shiraz & Jazz Railway Tour, arriving in Great Western on Friday the 9th of October 2026.

Guests will step off the train and into a guided underground cellar experience, wine tasting and long lunch deep below the vines, before the journey continues through Western Victoria.
